Shetland Lace Edging – 14th October 2024
£40.00
In this 2 hour online workshop, you will be taken through the basic stitches and techniques of Shetland lace knitting.
Lace edging is a beautifully decorative way to finish off a shawl, hap or scarf. In this session you will discuss different edging. You will be shown how to knit on a lace edging and how to knit around a corner.
This workshop is suitable for an Intermediate skill level. It would be an advantage if participants had a little experience in lace and felt confident with yarn overs, knitting two togethers, and three togethers. Both charts and written instructions will be provided.
For the workshop, you will need: size 4mm needles and lace weight yarn preferably in a light colour to make the stitches more easily seen.
Before the class you will be sent instructions for making the sample ready to attach the lace edging to.
