Fine Shetland Lace – The Bird’s Eye Pattern – 16th September 2024

In this 2 hour online workshop, you will be introduced to fine Shetland Lace, its  stitches and techniques.

In this session you will be shown how to read lace charts and knit a sample of the Bird’s Eye pattern.

This workshop is suitable for an Advanced skill level. It would be an advantage if participants had a little experience in lace and felt confident with yarn overs, knitting two togethers, and three togethers. Chart instructions will be provided.

For the workshop, you will need: size 3.5mm needles and lace weight yarn preferably in a light colour to make the stitches more easily seen.
